In the summer of 2015, Occidental College was rated no. 36 in the top entrepreneurial colleges in the United States by Forbes. This is a testament to the hard work and innovation Occidental College and Oxypreneurship has undertaken in the past few years. In order to continue to look for ways to foster entrepreneurship and further enhance the value of a liberal arts degree, Oxypreneurship, in coordination with the John Park Young Fund and HCC, have created another curriculum for January Term (J-Term).

J-Term 2016 is a continuation of the success of the past 2 programs in 2014 and 2015. The initial impetus behind the program was to provide students with hard and soft skills in the realm of entrepreneurship to utilize during their Oxy years and beyond. One could make the argument that J-Term has achieved much more than that. Regardless of their majors, graduates from J-Term have experienced an immersive, team based program that have allowed them to explore the entrepreneurial hub that is Los Angeles. The program focused on entrepreneurship, business, and innovation; and the successful initiatives such as Go-me or BuziCards proves that the students have been successful in taking the first steps in a long journey into becoming entrepreneurs.
